Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Deliver dynamic and engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in a range of mathematics and science subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Develop customized learning plans and targeted instructional strategies based on initial diagnostic assessments of each student's academic strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences.
- Simplify and explain complex scientific principles and mathematical theorems in a clear, concise, and relatable manner to ensure student comprehension and retention.
- Teach effective study skills, note-taking techniques, time management strategies, and test-taking methods to empower students to become independent learners.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence and reduces anxiety surrounding challenging STEM subjects.
- Assist students with understanding and completing homework assignments, reviewing class materials, and preparing for quizzes, midterms, and final exams.
