Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies for assigned categories that align with overall company goals, financial targets, and brand positioning.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and sourcing to end-of-life, including assortment planning, product selection, and seasonal transitions.
- Conduct in-depth sales analysis and performance reviews on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis to identify trends, opportunities, and underperforming products.
- Create and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans to effectively control inventory investment, optimize stock flow, and achieve sales and margin targets.
- Establish and maintain strategic pricing structures, including initial pricing, promotional markdowns, and clearance strategies to maximize profitability and inventory turnover.
- Collaborate closely with the buying and planning teams to ensure a balanced and compelling product assortment that meets customer needs and market demand.
- Partner with marketing and e-commerce teams to develop go-to-market plans, ensuring new products are launched effectively and key stories are communicated across all channels.
- Oversee the visual merchandising strategy for both online and in-store environments to create a cohesive and engaging customer experience that drives conversion.
- Foster and manage strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, secure exclusive products, and ensure timely delivery.
