Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive mobile vehicle and foot patrols of multiple assigned client properties, ensuring a visible and proactive security presence to deter unauthorized activities and potential threats.
  • Serve as a primary first responder to burglar, fire, and panic alarms, arriving promptly on-scene to assess the situation, investigate the cause, and coordinate with emergency services (police, fire) as required.
  • Perform scheduled and on-demand lock-up and unlock services for commercial and residential facilities, meticulously verifying that all access points, including doors, windows, and gates, are properly secured.
  • Meticulously document all patrol activities, incidents, and observations by completing detailed, accurate, and timely digital or written reports (e.g., Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports) using company-issued software and devices.
  • Politely and professionally enforce property rules and regulations, addressing violations such as loitering, trespassing, and unauthorized parking in a firm but courteous manner.
  • Proactively identify and report potential security risks, safety hazards, and maintenance issues, such as broken lights, water leaks, unsecured doors, or fire hazards, to the appropriate client or management contact.
  • Act as a professional representative of the company and the client, providing assistance and information to tenants, employees, and the public while maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor.
  • Take immediate and appropriate action in emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR when necessary, assisting with evacuations, and establishing a secure perimeter until relieved by law enforcement.
  • Effectively utilize modern security technology, including patrol management software, GPS tracking, and two-way radios or cellular devices, to log patrols, communicate with dispatch, and report incidents in real-time.
  • Serve as a powerful visual deterrent against theft, vandalism, and other criminal behavior through high-visibility patrols and a vigilant, professional presence.
  • Provide safety escorts for employees, tenants, or authorized personnel to and from their vehicles or buildings, particularly during late-night or early-morning hours.
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections of the assigned patrol vehicle, ensuring it is clean, properly fueled, and in good working order, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Respond to non-emergency calls for service from clients or dispatch, such as investigating noise complaints, addressing parking issues, or checking on a specific area of concern.
  • In the event of a significant incident (e.g., break-in, accident), secure the scene to preserve evidence and prevent contamination until the arrival of investigators or emergency services.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, post orders, and client-specific protocols, maintaining a high standard of professional conduct and ethical behavior at all times.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by adjusting patrol routes and schedules based on real-time intelligence, client requests, or instructions from a supervisor.

Secondary Functions

  • Valid State-Mandated Security License: Possession of an active and clear security guard card or license as required by state law.
  • Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license and a driving record free of major violations are essential for operating a patrol vehicle.
  • Security Incident Report Writing: Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports detailing observations and actions taken.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification: Current certification to provide immediate medical assistance in an emergency.

Educational Background
