Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive initial client assessments, including functional movement screens (FMS), postural analysis, and range of motion tests to establish a baseline and identify specific mobility limitations or dysfunctions.
- Design and implement highly personalized mobility and corrective exercise programs tailored to individual client goals, needs, and contraindications, focusing on improving joint health, flexibility, and overall movement quality.
- Provide expert, one-on-one and small-group coaching, demonstrating proper exercise techniques and providing tactile, verbal, and visual cues and modifications to ensure client safety and maximize effectiveness.
- Diligently monitor, track, and document client progress through regular re-assessments, adjusting training protocols as necessary to overcome plateaus and facilitate continuous improvement toward their goals.
- Educate clients on the principles of biomechanics, human anatomy, and self-care strategies, empowering them with the knowledge to manage their own physical well-being and integrate healthy movement patterns into daily life.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physical therapists, chiropractors, and physicians, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to client care and post-rehabilitation.
- Maintain a commitment to continuous professional development by staying current with the latest research, techniques, and certifications in the fields of kinesiology, sports medicine, and corrective exercise.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities and equipment, such as foam rollers, resistance bands, massage balls, and percussion therapy devices, to aid in soft tissue release and mobility enhancement.
- Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including assessment findings, program details, session notes, and progress reports in compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and motivational environment to build strong, long-lasting client relationships and encourage adherence to their prescribed mobility programs.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism, ensuring a clean and organized training environment and adhering to all established safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Develop and lead engaging group mobility workshops and classes focused on topics like 'Desk-Bound Relief,' 'Pre-Workout Activation,' or 'Post-Workout Recovery.'
- Implement proactive injury prevention strategies by identifying and addressing movement imbalances, asymmetries, and potential risk factors before they lead to significant injury.
- Serve as a crucial bridge for clients transitioning from formal physical therapy back to regular fitness activities, ensuring a safe and effective return to their desired lifestyle.
- Perform detailed biomechanical analysis of specific movements, such as running gait or lifting mechanics, to identify inefficiencies and prescribe targeted corrective drills.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients regarding scheduling, program updates, and ongoing support outside of scheduled sessions to ensure a premium client experience.
- Provide general guidance on lifestyle factors, such as hydration, sleep, and stress management, that support tissue recovery, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall mobility outcomes.
- Contribute to business growth by conducting complimentary consultations, effectively communicating the value of mobility coaching, and working to retain a consistent client base.
- Adapt coaching techniques for a diverse population, including athletes, older adults, and individuals with chronic conditions, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.
- Deliver high-quality virtual coaching sessions using video conferencing technology, adapting cuing and assessment techniques for an effective remote environment.
Secondary Functions
