Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, storyboard, design, and execute high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics, animations, and video content for a diverse array of platforms, including social media channels, websites, digital advertising, and internal communications.
  • Translate complex ideas, marketing briefs, and strategic objectives into compelling, engaging, and visually stunning animated narratives that align with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate intimately with creative directors, art directors, graphic designers, and marketing teams to brainstorm, develop, and refine creative concepts from initial brief to final delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual style and motion language across all brand touchpoints to ensure a cohesive and recognizable brand identity.
  • Execute all phases of the video production lifecycle, including storyboarding, asset creation, animation, compositing, visual effects, and sound design.
  • Edit raw video footage and add motion graphics, titles, music, and sound effects to create polished and professional final video products.
  • Design and animate engaging typography, infographics, and data visualizations to make complex information accessible and memorable for the target audience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from small, quick-turnaround social media assets to large-scale, long-term video projects, while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Create and prepare final assets for various platforms, ensuring all files are correctly optimized for web, mobile, broadcast, and other specific media requirements.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and creative leads effectively, iterating on designs and animations to achieve the desired creative and strategic outcomes.
  • Source and integrate appropriate audio elements, including music tracks, sound effects, and voice-overs, to enhance the emotional impact and narrative of the motion content.
  • Create animated logos, lower thirds, transitions, and other video assets for use in a wide range of video productions.
  • Work with UI/UX designers to design and prototype micro-interactions, animations, and transitions for websites and mobile applications to improve user experience.
  • Stay rigorously up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in motion design, animation, and video production, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the team.
  • Participate actively in creative critiques, providing and receiving constructive feedback to elevate the quality of the team's collective creative output.
  • Create and manage a library of reusable motion graphic templates and project files to streamline workflows and ensure brand consistency across the team.
  • Ensure all motion content is compliant with accessibility standards (e.g., providing captions, ensuring color contrast) where applicable.

  • Maintain and meticulously organize a shared library of video assets, project files, and design templates for efficient reuse and team accessibility.
  • Proactively research, experiment with, and share emerging trends, new techniques, and innovative tools in motion design and animation to inspire the creative team.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects for animation, visual effects, and compositing.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, sequencing, and post-production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating and preparing vector and raster assets for animation.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or Maya.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental design principles, including composition, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Strong storyboarding and visual storytelling skills to translate concepts into a clear narrative sequence.
  • Knowledge of video codecs, formats, and export settings for various digital platforms.
  • Experience with sound design and audio editing to create a complete audio-visual experience.
  • Understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, easing, squash and stretch) to create fluid and lifelike movement.
  • Familiarity with third-party plugins for After Effects like Red Giant Suite, Trapcode Suite, or Video Copilot.
