Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Set up, configure, operate, and tear down a wide range of sophisticated audiovisual equipment for live, virtual, and hybrid events, including cameras, microphones, audio mixers, video switchers, and lighting.
- Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting for video conferencing and unified communications platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex, ensuring stable and clear connections.
- Manage and execute all technical aspects of high-profile executive meetings, town halls, webinars, and live-streamed events, from pre-production checks to post-event breakdown.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, firmware updates, and system diagnostics on all installed AV hardware to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Operate video recording equipment to capture events and presentations, and perform basic post-production editing, such as trimming, adding graphics, and exporting for distribution.
- Maintain a meticulous inventory of all multimedia equipment, managing check-out/check-in processes, and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Provide clear and patient training to end-users and presenters, empowering them to effectively use the AV technology in conference rooms and event spaces.
- Monitor and manage digital signage systems, including content scheduling, updates, and hardware maintenance across multiple locations.
- Read and interpret AV system drawings, signal flow diagrams, and technical specifications to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Collaborate closely with IT, Facilities, and Corporate Communications teams to ensure seamless integration and support for all multimedia-related activities and projects.
- Conduct thorough pre-event technical rehearsals and AV checks with presenters to guarantee their comfort and the smooth execution of the event.
- Manage audio for events, ensuring proper microphone placement, mixing for live and broadcast audiences, and eliminating feedback or interference.
- Coordinate with external AV vendors and rental companies for specialized equipment or additional support for large-scale productions.
- Ensure all productions adhere to brand standards for video, audio, and graphical elements, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
- Evaluate and test new audiovisual technologies, software, and hardware, providing recommendations for future system upgrades and enhancements.

- Hands-on experience with AV control systems and digital signal processors (DSPs), such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q-SYS, and Biamp.
- In-depth knowledge of live streaming hardware and software encoders, including platforms like OBS Studio, vMix, and Tricaster.
- Strong understanding of audiovisual signal flow, video resolutions, and audio protocols (e.g., HDMI, SDI, Dante, NDI).
- Practical experience operating professional-grade equipment including PTZ cameras, digital audio mixers, wireless microphone systems, and presentation switchers.
- Foundational networking knowledge for troubleshooting AV-over-IP systems, including understanding of IP addresses, subnets, and VLANs.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro for basic post-production tasks.
- Ability to terminate and test various AV cabling, including coaxial, category, and speaker wiring.
