Primary Functions

  • Educate clients and their families on the principles of therapeutic nutrition, including portion control, label reading, meal planning, and the role of nutrients in disease management and prevention.
  • Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential client records, documenting all assessments, interventions, educational sessions, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, psychologists, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Address the psychological and emotional aspects of eating, helping clients navigate issues such as emotional eating, body image concerns, and disordered eating patterns in a compassionate and supportive manner.
