Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and report shrink or damaged goods to management to support inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor fitting rooms during peak periods — manage queues, provide size recommendations, maintain cleanliness, and enforce store policies to enhance the try-on experience and reduce loss.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalations with empathy and professionalism, following escalation protocols and documenting incidents for management review and continuous improvement.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including cash reconciliation, store security checks, setting alarms, and preparing daily sales deposits in accordance with company controls.
  • Execute markdowns, promotions, and clearance strategies promptly and accurately, ensuring price tags, signage, and displays reflect current offers and improve purchase intent.
  • Participate in daily or weekly sales briefings, contribute feedback on assortment and promotions, and communicate market intelligence to store leadership to support merchandising decisions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor, stockroom, and front-of-house areas by adhering to housekeeping standards, OSHA guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Support loss prevention initiatives through vigilance, proper tagging, secure stocking, and following documented procedures for suspected theft or fraud.

  • Ensure all price tags, labels, and SKU identifiers are current and legible; escalate ticketing or pricing discrepancies to management for rapid correction.
  • Provide accurate sizing guidance and styling combinations for customers, leveraging knowledge of fits and product construction to reduce returns and increase satisfaction.

Secondary Functions
