Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Direct, coordinate, and oversee the daily activities of production and operating teams to consistently meet or exceed production goals and delivery schedules.
- Champion and rigorously enforce all company safety, environmental, and quality control policies and procedures to foster a zero-harm, compliant work environment.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), scrap rates, and labor efficiency to identify performance gaps and trends.
- Develop and implement effective corrective and preventative actions to address production shortfalls, quality deviations, and process inefficiencies.
- Manage all aspects of employee performance, including conducting regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and developing talent within the team.
- Administer employee scheduling, approve timekeeping, and manage paid time off and overtime to ensure adequate staffing levels for all operational needs.
- Plan and lead comprehensive training and development programs for team members on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and proper equipment operation.
- Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting production line issues, coordinating with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and resolve equipment failures.
- Lead engaging daily pre-shift meetings (huddles) to effectively communicate production targets, safety alerts, quality focus points, and other critical information to the team.
- Guarantee the quality of all finished products meets or exceeds stringent company standards and customer specifications through process control and diligent oversight.
- Drive a pervasive culture of continuous improvement by leading and actively participating in lean initiatives such as Kaizen events, 5S workplace organization, and root cause analysis.
- Conduct regular safety audits, behavioral observations, and thorough incident investigations to identify hazards and reinforce safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed production records, shift logs, and performance reports, presenting findings and recommendations to the Plant Manager.
- Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between different shifts, departments (Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse), and management to ensure operational harmony.
- Assess departmental staffing needs and actively participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding process for new production employees.
- Administer company policies and disciplinary procedures consistently, fairly, and professionally to resolve employee relations issues and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Optimize the allocation of all resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize operational efficiency and aggressively minimize all forms of waste.
- Mentor and coach team members, identifying high-potential individuals and creating development plans to support their career progression within the organization.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and operating supplies within the assigned area to prevent shortages and support production continuity.
- Uphold and promote a positive, team-oriented culture that values accountability, respect, and a shared commitment to achieving plant objectives.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Lean Manufacturing: Strong, practical understanding of Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Poka-Yoke) and a track record of implementation.
- Manufacturing Software Proficiency: Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex).
- Safety & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and other industrial safety standards.

Experience Requirements
