Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead the end-to-end design process for new products and features, from initial brainstorming and user research through to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Translate complex user problems, business requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive, clean, and user-friendly design solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors by planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
- Create detailed user flows, wireframes, information architecture diagrams, and journey maps to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts.
- Partner closely with Product Managers to help define product strategy, influence the roadmap, and shape feature requirements, ensuring design is aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and to guarantee a high-quality, pixel-perfect implementation of the user interface.
- Design, conduct, and analyze A/B tests and other quantitative data (e.g., product analytics, heatmaps) to iterate on and continuously improve existing product features.
- Craft visually stunning and highly functional high-fidelity visual designs and UI specifications that are consistent across multiple platforms, including web and mobile.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive and scalable design system, including component libraries, style guides, interaction patterns, and usage documentation.
- Present and clearly articulate design decisions and the underlying rationale to a wide range of stakeholders, from team members to executive leadership, using compelling storytelling.
- Facilitate design sprints, collaborative workshops, and brainstorming sessions to generate creative solutions and build consensus among cross-functional teams.
- Own the complete user experience for a specific product area or feature set, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Work effectively within an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure a smooth product delivery process.
- Define and track key user experience metrics (e.g., task success rate, time on task, user satisfaction scores) to measure the impact and success of design initiatives.
