Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Greet every guest with a genuine, warm, and friendly welcome upon their arrival, setting a positive and inviting tone for their dining experience.
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer orders at the front counter and drive-thru, utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system and actively listening to ensure all special requests are captured.
  • Manage cash and digital transactions with precision, including handling cash, processing credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, while maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
  • Articulate menu options clearly and confidently, answering guest questions about ingredients, promotions, and nutritional information to help them make informed choices.
  • Assemble and prepare food and beverage items, such as sandwiches, salads, fries, and specialty drinks, strictly adhering to brand recipes, portioning, and quality standards.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and ovens, with a strong focus on safety protocols and operational best practices.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items and ongoing promotional offers to effectively upsell and enhance the customer's order.
  • Monitor product freshness and quality, ensuring all food served meets stringent brand standards and rotating stock according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
  • Work with a sense of urgency in the kitchen and at the service counter to meet and exceed speed-of-service goals, especially during peak business hours.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow team members and management to ensure smooth order flow and a collaborative work environment.
  • Address customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to a manager when necessary to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare and package orders for dine-in, takeout, and delivery with careful attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and proper presentation.
  • Meticulously adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handwashing, temperature logging, and preventing cross-contamination.

Secondary Functions

  • Consistently maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and managing trash receptacles.
  • Keep workstations, including the service counter, kitchen line, and beverage stations, stocked, clean, and prepared for service throughout the shift.
  • Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries, properly storing ingredients and supplies in designated areas like the walk-in cooler, freezer, and dry storage.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks during and after shifts, such as washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and maintaining restroom cleanliness.
  • Support team members by stepping in to assist in different positions as needed to manage customer flow and maintain operational efficiency.
