Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Capture high-resolution, visually stunning interior and exterior photographs of residential and commercial properties, ensuring proper lighting, composition, and angles to best showcase the space and its features.
  • Execute multiple photography techniques, including exposure bracketing for High Dynamic Range (HDR) and "flambient" (flash + ambient) methods to produce vibrant, true-to-life images.
  • Operate and pilot drones to capture compelling aerial photographs and videography of properties, their surroundings, and key neighborhood features, while strictly adhering to all FAA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Create immersive 3D virtual tours and interactive floor plans using specialized equipment and software, such as Matterport or Zillow 3D Home, allowing potential buyers to digitally walk through the property.
  • Produce high-quality, cinematic-style property walkthrough videos, including smooth camera movements using gimbals or sliders, and edit them into engaging marketing assets.
  • Perform advanced post-processing and photo editing on all captured images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to ensure color accuracy, proper exposure, lens distortion correction, and vertical alignment.
  • Retouch images as necessary, which may include removing minor blemishes, adding fire to fireplaces, replacing skies, or performing green-grass enhancements to improve the overall appeal.
  • Manage a dynamic and often demanding schedule, coordinating with real estate agents, transaction coordinators, and homeowners to book photoshoots and ensure timely arrival.
  • Provide professional guidance and collaborate with agents or homeowners on-site to prepare the property for the shoot, including light staging, decluttering, and optimizing furniture placement.
  • Maintain and manage all photography, videography, and drone equipment, ensuring it is clean, in proper working order, and that batteries are charged for each appointment.
  • Curate and select the best images from a shoot to create a compelling visual narrative of the property, delivering a finalized gallery that meets client and brand standards.
  • Deliver finalized, edited photos, videos, and other visual assets to clients within a specified, often tight, turnaround time via online galleries or file transfer services.
  • Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in real estate photography, videography, and digital marketing to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Photograph community amenities, local attractions, and lifestyle elements that add value and context to a property listing.
  • Execute specialized photography services such as twilight shoots, which require specific techniques to capture the ambiance of a property at dusk.
