Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and drives significant revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of field sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish ambitious sales quotas and performance goals for the region and individual team members, meticulously tracking progress and providing regular performance feedback.
  • Actively recruit, hire, and onboard top-tier sales talent to build a best-in-class team capable of dominating the market.
  • Conduct regular field visits and ride-alongs with sales representatives to provide in-the-moment coaching, support deal strategy, and assess performance.
  • Personally manage and cultivate relationships with the region's largest and most strategic key accounts, acting as an executive sponsor on critical deals.
  • Drive the development and management of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely forecasting through rigorous CRM discipline.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and threats, adjusting the regional strategy accordingly.
  • Manage the region's P&L, including budgeting, expense control, and resource allocation, to maximize profitability and return on investment.
  • Master and effectively demonstrate the value proposition of our products and services, ensuring your team can articulate it compellingly.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations and guide your team through intricate deal structures to ensure successful and profitable closure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, and other key industry stakeholders to expand market reach.
  • Prepare and present detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the regional territory planning and account assignments to ensure optimal market coverage and equitable opportunity distribution.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Spearhead regional marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing department to generate qualified leads.
  • Ensure the sales team is proficient in using all sales technology, including CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) and other sales enablement tools.
  • Design and deliver ongoing sales training programs on product knowledge, sales methodologies, and professional development.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:

  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in a B2B or B2C sales environment, with a minimum of 4-5 years in a direct sales management role leading a team of quota-carrying representatives.

  • Proven, documented track record of consistently exceeding team sales quotas in a competitive market.
  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed or remote sales team is highly desirable.
