Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Act as a strategic business partner to the Regional General Manager and other senior leaders, providing insightful financial analysis and guidance to drive decision-making.
- Lead the comprehensive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the entire financial management and reporting for the region, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals located across multiple countries or offices within the region, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all financial and management reporting, interpreting results and communicating them effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance with corporate standards, GAAP/IFRS, and all local statutory requirements.
- Analyze regional business performance against budget, forecast, and prior year, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities, and presenting findings with actionable recommendations.
- Drive regional profitability and efficiency improvements through detailed variance analysis, cost control initiatives, and the optimization of working capital.
- Provide expert financial support for regional business development activities, including crafting pricing strategies, analyzing new market entry opportunities, and conducting M&A due diligence.
- Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes for the region, coordinating meticulously with local finance teams and the corporate accounting department.
- Manage regional treasury functions, including detailed cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and developing strategies to mitigate foreign exchange risk.
- Collaborate with corporate tax and legal departments to guarantee full compliance with all local tax regulations, transfer pricing policies, and statutory filing obligations.
- Lead the financial integration of newly acquired businesses or the seamless implementation of new business models and systems within the region.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and lead coordinator for all internal and external audit activities pertaining to the region.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support long-term strategic planning, investment decisions, and "what-if" scenario analysis.
- Champion the implementation and effective utilization of financial systems (such as ERP and EPM tools) to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
