Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Assume full P&L accountability for the entire region, including developing annual budgets, forecasting financial performance, and implementing corrective strategies to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of General Managers or Operations Managers across multiple sites, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Develop and execute long-term regional operational strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring scalability, compliance, and long-term success.
  • Champion and implement standardized best practices, policies, and procedures (SOPs) across all locations to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and consistency.
  • Monitor and analyze a comprehensive set of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, labor costs, inventory management, safety metrics, and customer satisfaction, taking decisive action to address deviations.
  • Drive a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring all regional operations adhere to company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT).
  • Oversee regional talent management, including succession planning, performance management, and career development initiatives to build a robust leadership pipeline.
  • Direct large-scale process improvement and optimization projects, leveraging methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and vendors within the region to ensure service level agreements are met and to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Oversee the management of regional assets, including facilities, equipment, and vehicle fleets, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and capital planning.
  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to support regional growth, providing operational insight for new business proposals and client implementations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational audits to assess performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to brand and operational standards.
  • Lead regional change management initiatives, effectively communicating and implementing new technologies, systems, or corporate directives to ensure smooth transitions and employee buy-in.
  • Manage and resolve escalated customer or operational issues with a sense of urgency, ensuring root cause analysis is performed to prevent future occurrences.
