Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Provide a consistent and visible security presence to deter illegal activities, vandalism, and unauthorized access across diverse assigned locations.
Execute security services as outlined in site-specific post orders, demonstrating the ability to quickly adapt to different operational requirements.
Conduct thorough interior and exterior foot or vehicle patrols to monitor for irregularities, safety hazards, fire risks, and security vulnerabilities.
Manage access control for employees, visitors, and contractors, verifying identification, issuing badges, and maintaining accurate logs in accordance with site protocols.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms and emergency situations, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, and provide immediate assistance and escalation.
Author detailed and accurate daily activity reports (DARs), incident reports, and other documentation using digital or paper-based systems.
Monitor CCTV systems and other electronic surveillance equipment to observe and report suspicious behavior or operational anomalies.
Enforce client and company policies regarding property, personnel, and safety in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients, employees, and visitors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a security-focused mindset.
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting or denying entry.
Conduct regular checks on the operational status of security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels, reporting any malfunctions.
Act as a first responder to any incidents, gathering preliminary information, securing the scene, and liaising with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) when necessary.
