Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Actively greet and engage with every customer entering the store to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service by listening to customer needs and offering personalized recommendations and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of all products, including features, benefits, and brand stories, to effectively assist customers.
  • Drive sales by proactively approaching customers, demonstrating product knowledge, and utilizing upselling and cross-selling techniques to meet individual and store sales goals.
  • Accurately and efficiently process transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments, ensuring proper cash handling and reconciliation procedures are followed.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships to encourage repeat business and foster brand loyalty through positive interactions.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding promotions, pricing, product availability, and store policies in a clear and professional manner.
  • Manage fitting rooms by assisting customers with sizing and styles, maintaining cleanliness, and returning merchandise to the sales floor promptly.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience, resolving any issues or complaints with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Stay informed about current sales promotions, marketing campaigns, and store events to effectively communicate them to customers.
  • Assist in the management of customer orders, including special orders and online order pick-ups, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

Secondary Functions

  • Participate in receiving and processing new inventory shipments, including unboxing, steaming, tagging, and applying security sensors to merchandise.
  • Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing at all times by executing replenishment duties from the stockroom.
  • Assist in the implementation of visual merchandising directives, including setting up new displays, arranging mannequins, and maintaining overall store presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, fitting rooms, and employee areas, to ensure a safe and pleasant shopping experience.
  • Perform regular stock counts and assist with inventory management procedures to minimize shrinkage and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to loss prevention and security, to protect company assets, customers, and staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to achieve common goals and contribute to a positive, productive team environment.
  • Participate actively in staff training sessions and store meetings to stay updated on new products, policies, and performance goals.
  • Handle opening and closing duties as assigned, including cleaning, cash drawer reconciliation, and securing the store premises.
