Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Proactively greet and welcome every customer, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere from the moment they enter the store.
- Deliver an exceptional, customer-first service experience by being friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout the customer's visit.
- Actively engage with shoppers to understand their needs, provide personalized product recommendations, and guide them through their purchasing journey.
- Develop and maintain a deep, comprehensive understanding of the store’s product lines, including features, benefits, and current promotions, to effectively answer questions.
- Accurately and efficiently process a variety of transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Drive sales by up-selling and cross-selling relevant products and actively promoting store loyalty programs, special offers, and in-store events.
- Build and nurture lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat business, gather valuable feedback, and foster strong brand loyalty.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism and empathy, striving for a first-contact resolution and escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor and facilitate fitting room access, offering honest feedback and additional options as needed.

Secondary Functions
- Assist in replenishing merchandise on the sales floor from the stockroom to ensure a full range of products is always available to customers.
- Participate in receiving and unpacking new shipments, verifying inventory against packing lists, and preparing items for the sales floor by ticketing and hanging.
- Support the execution of visual merchandising directives, including setting up promotional displays and arranging merchandise to create an appealing presentation.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe store environment, including performing tasks like dusting shelves, cleaning glass, and organizing backroom areas.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, such as cashing out registers, preparing bank deposits, securing the premises, and completing end-of-day reports.
- Assist in regular inventory management tasks, including cycle counts, identifying low-stock items, and preparing the store for full physical inventories.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to loss prevention, cash handling, and workplace health and safety.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive, cohesive team environment.

- Point of Sale (POS) System Operation: Proficiency in operating modern cash registers and payment terminals to process various transaction types, including cash, credit/debit, and mobile payments.
