Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Act as the central point of contact and communication hub between the corporate office (including merchandising, marketing, and operations departments) and the entire network of retail stores.
  • Disseminate critical information, updates, and directives to store management and staff in a clear, timely, and effective manner.
  • Monitor and analyze store-level sales performance, KPIs, and traffic data, compiling comprehensive reports for senior leadership to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end execution of in-store promotions, seasonal campaigns, and marketing events, ensuring all stores have the necessary signage, collateral, and product.
  • Manage the allocation and replenishment of inventory to stores, working closely with the planning and logistics teams to optimize stock levels and minimize out-of-stocks.
  • Oversee and enforce visual merchandising standards, providing guidance and feedback to store teams to ensure brand consistency and a compelling customer presentation.
  • Develop, update, and distribute operational manuals, policies, and procedural guides to ensure standardized and efficient store operations.
  • Plan and support new store openings, relocations, and closures, coordinating logistics, staffing, training, and initial setup to ensure a smooth launch.
  • Conduct regular store visits (both virtually and in-person) to assess operational compliance, provide on-the-ground support, and build strong relationships with store teams.
  • Gather, consolidate, and relay qualitative feedback from store managers and customers to relevant corporate departments to inform product development, marketing, and operational improvements.
  • Support the retail training function by coordinating training sessions, preparing materials, and tracking completion for new product launches, systems, or service initiatives.
  • Assist in the management of the retail operations budget, tracking store-related expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Process and track purchase orders for store supplies, fixtures, and other non-merchandise operational needs.
  • Handle escalated customer service issues that cannot be resolved at the store level, working to find a satisfactory resolution that aligns with company policy.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve store-level technical issues with POS systems, computers, and other retail technology.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the Regional Management team with scheduling, travel arrangements, and preparation for market tours and regional meetings.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of annual conferences, manager meetings, and other large-scale retail events.
  • Analyze competitor activities and local market trends to provide insights and recommendations to the retail leadership team.
  • Manage and maintain the store directory and all relevant contact information, ensuring data accuracy across all corporate systems.
  • Coordinate with facilities and maintenance vendors to address repair and upkeep needs for retail locations in a timely manner.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to represent the interests and realities of the retail store environment.
  • Generate ad-hoc sales, inventory, and operational reports as requested by leadership and other business partners.
  • Contribute to the testing and rollout of new in-store technologies or software, providing feedback from an operational perspective.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Retail Math & Analytics: Strong understanding of key retail metrics (KPIs) such as sales per square foot, conversion rate, UPT (units per transaction), and sell-through.
  • MS Office Suite Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, and Word for reporting, analysis, and communication.
  • Retail Management Systems (RMS): Hands-on experience with POS systems, inventory management software (e.g., NetSuite, RICS), and/or ERP platforms.
  • Inventory Management: Solid knowledge of stock allocation, replenishment principles, and the product lifecycle within a retail environment.
  • Project Coordination: Ability to manage timelines, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and track deliverables for initiatives like store openings or campaign rollouts.

Educational Background
