Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Proactively greet and engage every customer, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere from the moment they enter the store.
- Drive sales by expertly utilizing product knowledge, understanding customer needs through active listening, and providing personalized recommendations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process sales, returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions.
- Build and maintain a loyal client base through effective clienteling, including follow-up communication on new arrivals and promotions.
- Maintain a deep and current understanding of all product features, benefits, and brand stories to confidently answer customer questions.
- Assist in executing visual merchandising directives, ensuring the sales floor is impeccably presented, organized, and reflects current brand standards.
- Meet and exceed individual sales goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other performance metrics as set by store management.
- Actively participate in replenishing merchandise on the sales floor to ensure all sizes and styles are available and well-represented.
- Manage fitting rooms by assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, and returning merchandise to the sales floor promptly.
- Uphold all loss prevention policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
- Support in the receiving and processing of new shipments, including unboxing, sensor-tagging, and organizing merchandise in the stockroom.
- Handle customer issues and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
- Educate customers on current promotions, loyalty programs, and in-store events to enhance their shopping experience and drive engagement.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve collective store goals and contribute to a supportive and high-performing team environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment, including the sales floor, cash wrap, fitting rooms, and back-of-house areas.
- Consistently model the brand’s values and desired customer experience, acting as a positive role model for colleagues.
- Answer store phone calls, responding to customer inquiries about product availability, store hours, and policies in a courteous manner.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, cleaning, and securing the store.
