Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively greet and engage every customer with a warm, welcoming demeanor to create a positive and inviting store atmosphere from the moment they enter.
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service by actively listening to customer needs, offering personalized product recommendations, and sharing in-depth brand and product knowledge.
  • Drive sales by expertly guiding customers through the product selection process, highlighting features and benefits, and effectively closing sales to meet or exceed individual and team targets.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with speed and accuracy, processing all types of transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges while adhering to cash handling and loss prevention policies.
  • Build and maintain a loyal customer base by capturing customer information, promoting loyalty programs, and fostering lasting relationships through genuine interaction and follow-up.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all current promotions, marketing campaigns, and in-store events to effectively inform customers and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assist in the execution of visual merchandising directives, including setting up displays, arranging mannequins, and ensuring the sales floor is consistently neat, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Diligently perform stock-related duties, such as receiving and processing new shipments, restocking merchandise on the sales floor, and ensuring all items are correctly priced and ticketed.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe store environment by performing regular housekeeping tasks, including tidying fitting rooms, dusting fixtures, and organizing back-of-house areas.
  • Manage fitting room experiences by monitoring capacity, assisting customers with different sizes or styles, and returning unwanted merchandise to the sales floor promptly.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, embodying the company's values and style, and sharing passion for the brand with both customers and fellow team members.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge workshops to stay current on company policies and product offerings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless store operations, including providing back-up support at the cash wrap and on the sales floor as needed.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining awareness of surroundings, communicating suspicious activity to management, and following all security protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including participating in cycle counts and full physical inventory counts to maintain data accuracy.
  • Handle special orders, phone inquiries, and online order pick-ups (BOPIS) efficiently, providing a cohesive omni-channel experience for the customer.
  • Maintain personal and store presentation standards at all times, ensuring a professional appearance that reflects the brand's image.
  • Flexibly adapt to changing business needs and priorities, willingly taking on different tasks and responsibilities as directed by the store management team.
  • Utilize store technology and applications to enhance the customer experience, such as looking up inventory at other locations or processing mobile transactions.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback and observations about products and trends to store leadership to help inform business decisions.
  • Champion and model all company policies and procedures, setting a positive example for other team members in professionalism and work ethic.
