Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided commercial vehicle (such as a box truck or step van) in strict accordance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Meticulously load, transport, and deliver items to a diverse range of clients or businesses in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring the integrity of the product throughout the entire delivery cycle.

- Utilize handheld electronic devices and scanners to accurately track deliveries, manage inventory, capture digital proof of delivery, and process customer transactions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, meticulously documenting and reporting any mechanical issues, damages, or necessary repairs to the fleet manager.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned delivery vehicle, both interior and exterior, to present a professional company image.
- Handle the physical demands of the job, which includes repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling packages that may weigh up to 50-75 pounds.
- Adhere to assigned delivery time windows and communicate proactively with dispatch or management regarding any delays, route deviations, or delivery issues.
- Manage and account for all returned products, undeliverable packages, and related paperwork, ensuring they are returned to the distribution center correctly.
- Review and prepare all necessary delivery paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness before starting the daily route.
- Securely handle all collected payments (cash, checks, credit card slips) and reconcile them at the end of the shift according to company procedures.
