Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Investigate and analyze safety incidents, user reports, and escalations to identify root causes, behavioral patterns, and emerging threat vectors.
- Develop, implement, and refine data-driven policies and enforcement strategies to mitigate risks related to user safety, content integrity, and platform abuse.
- Monitor key safety metrics and performance indicators (KPIs) using dashboards and regular reporting to track the effectiveness of safety initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new products, features, and market expansions to proactively identify and address potential safety vulnerabilities before launch.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Legal, and Communications to design, build, and operationalize scalable safety solutions.
- Triage and respond to high-priority, time-sensitive safety escalations, including those involving graphic or sensitive content, with speed, accuracy, and empathy.
- Perform deep-dive qualitative and quantitative analyses on large-scale datasets to generate actionable insights that inform proactive safety measures and strategic decisions.
- Create detailed incident reports and post-mortems that clearly document findings, impact analysis, and actionable recommendations for future prevention.
- Utilize SQL and other data querying languages to extract, manipulate, and analyze complex data from multiple sources to answer critical safety questions.
- Review and adjudicate nuanced, high-impact cases of user-generated content and accounts against community guidelines, making difficult decisions with consistency.
- Act as a subject matter expert on specific risk domains such as child safety, hate speech, misinformation, self-harm, or fraud and abuse.
- Present complex analytical findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, to drive alignment and resource allocation.
- Contribute to the development and tuning of machine learning models and automated detection systems by providing expert-labeled data and qualitative feedback.
- Analyze legislative and regulatory developments related to online safety and data privacy to ensure platform compliance and adapt internal policies accordingly.
- Identify and scope gaps in current safety tools, workflows, and processes, proposing innovative solutions and enhancements to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Secondary Functions

- Direct experience in a Trust and Safety, content moderation, fraud analysis, risk management, or intelligence role, preferably within a technology, social media, or e-commerce company.
