Primary Functions

- Guide customers through the entire firearms purchasing process, ensuring strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including the meticulous completion of ATF Form 4473 and conducting background checks.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, educating customers on product features, benefits, and proper usage to ensure they make informed purchasing decisions that enhance their safety and success in the field.
- Drive departmental sales goals by effectively demonstrating product value, upselling relevant accessories, and cross-selling products from adjacent departments like camping or fishing.
- Proactively build and maintain a loyal customer base by fostering genuine relationships, remembering repeat customers, and providing consistently outstanding service.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, new product releases, and changes in hunting regulations to provide the most accurate and relevant information to customers.
- Handle and showcase firearms and other sensitive equipment safely and responsibly at all times, ensuring a secure environment for both customers and team members.
- Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to efficiently process transactions, manage special orders, process returns, and look up inventory with accuracy.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting common issues with their gear, offering practical advice and solutions or directing them to specialized services like the gunsmith or archery tech.
- Communicate the benefits of store loyalty programs, extended warranties, and special financing offers to add value to the customer's purchase.
- Master the features and benefits of our exclusive and national brands, articulating what makes our product selection unique and superior.
- Confidently handle customer concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, working to find a satisfactory resolution that retains their business.
