Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer, lead, and pipeline data within the company's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Generate and distribute regular sales performance reports, including pipeline analysis, forecasting, win/loss rates, and activity dashboards for sales leadership.
  • Assist the sales team in the creation, preparation, and submission of complex proposals, quotes, and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Act as the first point of contact for the sales team for any operational or systems-related questions and troubleshooting.
  • Manage the lead assignment process, ensuring timely and equitable distribution of inbound leads to the appropriate sales representatives.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of sales collateral, presentations, case studies, and other resources to equip the sales team for success.
  • Analyze sales data to identify emerging trends, pinpoint opportunities for growth, and highlight potential risks or performance gaps.
  • Support the sales forecasting process by gathering data from sales representatives and validating it against historical trends and pipeline health.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new sales hires by providing training on CRM usage, sales processes, and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with the finance and legal teams to ensure all contracts and sales orders are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies.
  • Conduct regular data cleansing and de-duplication projects within the CRM to maintain a clean and reliable single source of truth.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for individual sales reps and the team as a whole, providing insights on performance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • CRM Proficiency: Deep, hands-on experience with a major CRM platform like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics 365, including report building and dashboard creation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel: Mastery of Excel for data manipulation, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX(MATCH), complex formulas, and basic data modeling.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Proven ability to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights and visualizations for a non-technical audience.
  • Data Visualization Tools: Experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to create interactive and insightful dashboards.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, sales methodologies, and key business metrics (e.g., pipeline, forecast, quota, ARR).
  • SQL (Structured Query Language): Basic to intermediate SQL skills for querying databases directly is often a significant advantage.
