Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Engage directly with business leaders, functional teams, and end-users to conduct workshops, gather requirements, and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for analytics and reporting solutions.
- Design comprehensive and scalable end-to-end analytics solution architectures, leveraging tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics.
- Develop and maintain complex data models within SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA, including CompositeProviders, Advanced DSOs, Calculation Views, and CDS Views to support reporting requirements.
- Create compelling and user-friendly visualizations, dashboards, reports, and analytical applications using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Lead the configuration and development of data integration processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various SAP and non-SAP source systems using tools like SAP Data Intelligence, SDI, or SLT.
- Drive the implementation of S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, activating and enhancing Fiori analytical apps and building custom CDS views to provide real-time operational reporting.
- Manage security and authorizations within the SAP analytics landscape to ensure users have appropriate access to data and reports in compliance with governance policies.
- Conduct thorough unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of developed solutions.
- Provide expert-level guidance and thought leadership to clients and internal teams on SAP's analytics roadmap, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and user training sessions to drive adoption and ensure business users are proficient with new analytics tools and reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data loads, query performance, and report rendering, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Lead and participate in data migration projects, including assessments and execution of migrations from legacy SAP BW systems to SAP BW/4HANA.
- Develop technical and functional specification documents, data flow diagrams, and other project documentation to ensure clarity and maintainability of the solution.
- Optimize the performance of data models, queries, and dashboards through techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and query restructuring to ensure a responsive user experience.
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants (FICO, SD, MM, etc.) to understand underlying business processes and data structures to ensure analytical models are accurate and context-rich.
- Support pre-sales activities, including participating in solution demonstrations, creating proof-of-concept (POC) models, and contributing to proposals and statements of work.

- SAP BW/4HANA & BW on HANA: Hands-on proficiency in data modeling with BW/4HANA objects (aDSO, CompositeProvider), data provisioning, and transformations (ABAP/AMDP).
