Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Travel to various school locations daily, requiring punctuality and reliable transportation for early morning start times.
- Skillfully set up, calibrate, and break down a complete portable professional photography studio, including backdrops, lighting, and camera equipment.
- Expertly pose students of all ages (preschool through 12th grade) and staff, providing clear direction to capture natural expressions and high-quality portraits.
- Capture a high volume of individual student portraits efficiently while maintaining a friendly, engaging, and patient demeanor.
- Photograph group pictures, including entire classes, sports teams, clubs, and faculty, ensuring all individuals are visible and well-posed.
- Create a fun and positive Picture Day atmosphere, making even the most camera-shy students feel comfortable and confident in front of the lens.
- Manage the workflow and timing of photo sessions to adhere to a strict schedule, minimizing disruption to the school's academic day.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues with camera, lighting, and computer equipment on-site to prevent delays.
- Interact with professionalism and courtesy when communicating with school principals, teachers, administrative staff, and parent volunteers.
- Maintain meticulous digital and paper records, ensuring accurate student data is captured and associated with the correct images.
- Securely handle and organize student order forms, payments, and other sensitive information collected throughout the day.
- Adhere to all company posing, lighting, and quality standards to ensure a consistent and professional final product.
- Follow all school-specific safety protocols, visitor policies, and procedures while working on campus.
- Drive company or personal vehicle to and from assigned locations, ensuring all equipment is safely loaded, transported, and unloaded.
- Provide exceptional customer service, professionally answering questions from parents and staff about Picture Day and our products.
- Work effectively with children who have special needs, demonstrating extra patience and adapting your approach to ensure a successful photo session.
- Manage the flow of students to and from the photography station in an organized manner to keep the process running smoothly.
- Capture candid and event-style photos for yearbooks, school marketing materials, or special events as assigned.
- Securely transfer all captured image data at the end of the day according to company data management procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company dress code, representing the brand positively at all times.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain, clean, and organize all assigned photography equipment, reporting any malfunctions or needs for repair.
- Contribute to the company's positive relationship with schools by providing a consistently excellent experience.
- Assist in training and mentoring new or seasonal photographers to help them succeed.

Education & Experience
Educational Background
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education:
- Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Photography or a related visual arts field.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range: 0-2 years. We provide comprehensive paid training on our equipment and processes!
Preferred:
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in portrait photography, particularly with children (e.g., school, daycare, sports, or retail studio photography).
- A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between work sites is required.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
