Primary Functions

- Manage and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls to facilitate secure and efficient data transmission across local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
- Implement and enforce network security protocols and procedures, including managing user access, monitoring for unauthorized activity, and applying necessary security patches.
- Coordinate directly with end-users, field technicians, and higher-level engineering teams to facilitate the rapid resolution of complex, multi-faceted technical issues.
- Operate and manage cryptographic equipment and systems to ensure the secure transmission and reception of sensitive or classified information.
- Read, interpret, and apply complex technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and engineering schematics to aid in the installation, maintenance, and repair of signal systems.
