Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Execute the safe and efficient entry into confined spaces, such as storage tanks, silos, and process vessels, for the purpose of cleaning, inspection, and maintenance.
Operate high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure (UHP) water blasting equipment to effectively remove residues, contaminants, and build-up from tank interiors.
Skillfully maneuver industrial vacuum trucks and hoses to remove sludge, liquids, and solid materials from tanks and work areas.
Strictly adhere to all Confined Space Entry protocols, including completing and following work permits, identifying hazards, and understanding rescue plans.
Perform atmospheric monitoring and testing of confined spaces for oxygen levels, flammability, and toxic gases prior to and during entry.
Don, doff, and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators, chemical-resistant suits, harnesses, and hard hats.
Act as a "hole watch" or confined space attendant, diligently monitoring the well-being of entrants and maintaining constant communication.
Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to de-energize and secure equipment, ensuring a safe work environment before commencing cleaning operations.
Physically remove stubborn residues using a variety of manual tools, such as scrapers, shovels, squeegees, and brushes.
Participate actively in pre-job safety meetings (e.g., Job Safety Analysis, Toolbox Talks) to understand the scope of work, potential hazards, and mitigation strategies.
Handle, containerize, and label industrial and potentially hazardous waste materials in strict accordance with company and regulatory (EPA, DOT) standards.
Assist in the mobilization and demobilization of the job site, including the setup and breakdown of all cleaning equipment, hoses, and safety systems.

Secondary Functions

Perform routine pre-use inspections and basic preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment, including pumps, hoses, nozzles, and vehicles.
Complete all necessary job-related documentation with accuracy, including daily work logs, equipment inspection reports, and safety permits.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area, on the truck, and at the company facility to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Communicate professionally and effectively with team members, supervisors, and on-site client representatives to ensure project alignment and address any issues.
Support emergency response call-outs, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to work outside of normal hours, on weekends, or holidays as needed.
Drive company vehicles to and from job sites, adhering to all traffic laws and company driving policies (may require a CDL).
Assist in training and mentoring newer team members on proper equipment operation and safety procedures.
Identify and immediately report any unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to the crew leader or supervisor to foster a proactive safety culture.
Contribute to the organization's commitment to safety by actively looking for ways to improve processes and reduce risk.

Experience Requirements
