Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive, in-depth client consultations to thoroughly understand their vision, ideas, desired aesthetic, and placement preferences for new tattoo projects.
- Conceptualize, sketch, and finalize unique, custom tattoo designs using both traditional (drawing, painting) and digital tools (e.g., Procreate, Photoshop) tailored to each client's request.
- Provide expert advice to clients on design elements, sizing, and strategic placement to ensure the final artwork is aesthetically compelling and anatomically harmonious.
- Prepare and apply design stencils to the client's body, making precise adjustments to ensure a perfect fit and flow before the tattooing process begins.
- Skillfully operate various tattoo machines (coil, rotary, pen-style) to apply designs, demonstrating mastery of diverse techniques including fine lining, bold lining, smooth shading, color packing, and stippling.
- Execute complex cover-up or rework projects, requiring advanced problem-solving skills to effectively conceal or enhance pre-existing tattoos.
- Prepare and meticulously sterilize the entire tattooing station, including all equipment, needles, tubes, grips, and surfaces, in strict accordance with health department regulations and bloodborne pathogen safety protocols.
- Provide clear, detailed aftercare instructions to clients, both verbally and in writing, to promote proper healing, prevent infection, and ensure the long-term vibrancy and quality of the tattoo.
- Maintain an impeccable, high-quality, and diverse portfolio that showcases a wide range of artistic styles, technical abilities, and healed work.
- Uphold all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including maintaining up-to-date certifications in Bloodborne Pathogens and First Aid/CPR.
- Ensure all client consent forms, liability waivers, and personal documentation are completed accurately and filed securely before beginning any procedure.
- Build and maintain a strong, loyal client base through exceptional customer service, consistent artistic excellence, and professional, ethical conduct.
Secondary Functions
- Actively manage and promote your personal brand and the studio through social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) by posting high-quality photos and videos of available designs and completed work.
- Efficiently manage appointment schedules, client communications, and the booking process, often utilizing studio management software or personal booking systems.
- Handle all financial transactions professionally, including taking deposits, processing final payments, and accurately tracking personal earnings and business expenses.
- Meticulously manage inventory of personal supplies, including inks, needles, cartridges, gloves, and sanitation products, and place orders to ensure you are always well-stocked.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming studio environment for all clients and colleagues, participating in daily and weekly cleaning duties.
- Collaborate effectively with other artists within the studio on large-scale projects, flash day events, and general shop responsibilities to foster a positive team atmosphere.
- Continuously develop your artistic and technical skills by seeking inspiration, practicing new techniques, attending seminars, and staying current with evolving industry trends and equipment.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to make clients, especially first-timers, feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout the entire tattoo experience.

- Diverse Artistic Styles: Proven ability in multiple tattoo styles such as American Traditional, Neo-Traditional, Black and Grey Realism, Color Realism, Blackwork, or Illustrative.
- Tattoo Application Mastery: Expert-level command of lining, shading, color theory, color packing, and blending techniques.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:

Preferred Education:
