Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform routine and complex preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions by interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic reports.
- Execute timely and effective repairs on production machinery, facility systems, or IT hardware, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Install, set up, and commission new equipment, systems, and machinery according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and functional tests on critical infrastructure, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and service calls to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately document all work orders, track parts inventory, and log maintenance history.
- Calibrate precision instruments, tools, and electronic equipment to maintain accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), arc flash, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate and maintain various tools and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imagers, and alignment tools.
- Manage and maintain a stock of critical spare parts and supplies, initiating procurement requests as needed to prevent shortages.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians and equipment operators to enhance team skill sets.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and contribute to developing long-term solutions.
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment as required for maintenance tasks.
Secondary Functions
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support continuous improvement projects and new equipment integration.
- Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following 5S principles and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Provide clear and concise status updates on maintenance activities during team meetings and shift handovers.
- Support facility-wide projects, including system upgrades, equipment relocation, and infrastructure modifications.
- Escalate unresolved or highly complex technical issues to senior technicians, engineers, or external vendors for resolution.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend support for critical operational issues.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Schematics & Blueprints: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
- CMMS Software: Experience using maintenance management systems like SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms.
- Electrical Systems: Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial wiring up to 480V.
- PLC & Automation: Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Network & Hardware: Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, and basic network connections.
- Preventative Maintenance: Expertise in developing and executing PM schedules and tasks.
- Hand & Power Tools: Skilled in the safe and effective use of a wide range of industrial tools and diagnostic equipment.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, field service, or a related technical role.
