Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Provide direct, hands-on assistance to senior technicians during the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Prepare, stage, and organize all necessary tools, equipment, and materials required for daily service calls and project-based work to ensure efficiency.
  • Perform initial diagnostic tests on equipment using standard testing tools like multimeters and software diagnostics to identify and isolate issues.
  • Meticulously document all service and installation activities by completing detailed work orders, service reports, and system logs in our CRM.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and highly organized work environment, both in the workshop and at client sites, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist in the calibration and functional testing of newly installed or repaired equipment to ensure it meets performance specifications and quality standards.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled, including cleaning components, lubricating parts, and replacing filters to prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies in the service vehicle and workshop, initiating orders for replenishment as needed.
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport tools, equipment, and personnel to and from various job sites in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers on-site to provide status updates, explain basic procedures, and ensure a positive service experience.
  • Assemble and disassemble complex machinery and electronic components according to technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  • Run and terminate low-voltage cabling, including data, coaxial, and control wires, as part of new system installations and upgrades.
  • Conduct post-service cleanup of the work area, ensuring all debris is removed and the customer's property is left in its original condition.
  • Learn and rigorously apply company, industry, and OSHA safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
  • Provide basic operational training to end-users after an installation or repair, demonstrating key functions and answering initial questions.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis by pulling service logs and performance metrics for review by senior staff.
  • Contribute to the organization's knowledge base by documenting common issues, troubleshooting steps, and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling and dispatch team to confirm appointment details and provide accurate estimates for travel and job duration.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and weekly team meetings to stay updated on new products, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in receiving, unboxing, and verifying new inventory shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies.

Required Skills & Competencies
