Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with and drives business objectives, market opportunities, and competitive advantages.

  • Direct the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) for in-house applications, from conception and architecture design to deployment and ongoing maintenance, often utilizing Agile or DevOps methodologies.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality service and value.
  • Champion a robust cybersecurity posture for the organization, overseeing threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response planning, and security awareness training.
  • Drive data governance and data management strategies, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security while enabling data-driven decision-making across all business units.
  • Act as the principal technology advisor to the executive leadership team, translating complex technical concepts into clear business implications and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee the management of the company's entire technology portfolio, including hardware assets, software licenses, and cloud subscriptions, to optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Lead and sponsor major IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Continuously assess and modernize legacy systems and applications, planning for migration, decommissioning, or integration with newer, more efficient platforms.
