Primary Functions

- Interpret complex engineering drawings, electronic schematics, and written work instructions to ensure tests are performed correctly and products meet all design requirements.
- Perform delicate rework, soldering, and component replacement on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) to correct failures identified during the testing process.
- Contribute to the upkeep and basic maintenance of test stations and equipment, ensuring they remain in proper working order and calibration.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace safety protocols, including Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) prevention procedures, to maintain a safe working environment and protect sensitive electronic components.
- Partner with test and design engineers to provide critical feedback on product testability, failure modes, and potential improvements to the manufacturing or testing process.
- Operate environmental test chambers to subject products to specified temperature, humidity, and vibration cycles, monitoring and recording performance under stress.
- Interface with and operate automated test software and custom graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to execute test sequences and collect data efficiently.
- Compile, organize, and summarize test data to support failure analysis, trend monitoring, and the creation of comprehensive yield reports for production management.
- Perform regular verification and self-tests on test fixtures and harnesses to confirm their functionality and ensure the integrity of test results.
- Provide valuable, hands-on input to assist engineering teams in the development, validation, and refinement of new and existing test procedures.
- Uphold 5S principles or similar organizational standards to maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient personal workspace and shared lab environment.
