Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses (TNA) through surveys, interviews, and collaboration with managers to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and continuously update a robust curriculum and engaging training materials for various programs, including new hire onboarding, leadership development, and technical skills training.
  • Facilitate dynamic and interactive training sessions for diverse audiences, utilizing a blend of instructional techniques including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), and e-learning.
  • Create compelling and effective e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and other digital learning assets using authoring tools like Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate.
  • Manage and administer the company's Learning Management System (LMS), including course uploads, user enrollment, report generation, and system optimization.
  • Develop and implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and business impact of training programs, providing insightful reports and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business to capture their knowledge and translate complex information into clear, concise, and effective learning content.
  • Lead the end-to-end project management of key training initiatives, from initial scoping and planning to execution, communication, and post-launch support.
  • Coach and mentor managers and team leads on effective coaching techniques, performance management conversations, and fostering development within their teams.
  • Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the learning and development industry to ensure our programs remain innovative and impactful.
  • Customize training content and delivery methods to meet the specific needs of different departments, roles, and learning styles.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of training delivery, including scheduling sessions, coordinating facilities, managing materials, and communicating with participants.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive library of training resources that are easily accessible to all employees for on-demand learning and performance support.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to promote learning opportunities and drive engagement with training programs.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and workshops designed to improve collaboration, communication, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for all training-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers.
  • Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and practical exercises to measure learning retention and skill acquisition.
  • Support the creation of individual development plans (IDPs) and career pathing frameworks to guide employee growth.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the new hire onboarding experience, ensuring it is welcoming, informative, and sets new employees up for long-term success.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on cross-functional projects related to talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Act as a champion for our company culture, embedding our core values into all training and development initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Instructional Design: Proficiency in applying adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective learning experiences.
  • LMS Administration: Hands-on experience managing a Learning Management System (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Docebo).
  • E-Learning Authoring Tools: Expertise in using software like Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Captivate, or similar tools to create interactive online courses.
  • Virtual Facilitation Platforms: Mastery of virtual training delivery tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, including their interactive features (polls, breakout rooms).
  • Video & Audio Editing: Basic to intermediate skills in editing video and audio for training purposes (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere).
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to analyze training data, measure ROI, and present findings clearly using tools like Microsoft Excel or BI platforms.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
