Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Actively manage a pipeline of leads, engaging with prospective clients through phone calls, emails, and virtual consultations to understand their travel needs and preferences.
  • Design, present, and sell customized travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, cruises, and ground transportation, tailored to individual client budgets and interests.
  • Cultivate and nurture long-term client relationships to foster repeat business and generate a strong referral network, acting as their go-to expert for all future travel.
  • Consistently meet and exceed established monthly and quarterly sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs) through proactive outreach and effective closing techniques.
  • Develop and maintain an expert-level knowledge of key destinations, travel products, tour operators, and cruise lines to provide accurate and compelling recommendations.
  • Skillfully overcome client objections, negotiate pricing and package details, and upsell ancillary products such as travel insurance, room upgrades, and exclusive excursions.
  • Guide clients through the entire booking process, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience from initial inquiry to post-travel follow-up.
  • Prepare detailed and professional travel quotes and proposals that clearly outline the itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, and terms and conditions.
  • Accurately process bookings, deposits, and final payments using company booking systems and ensure all necessary travel documentation is in order.
  • Stay informed about international travel regulations, visa requirements, and health and safety advisories to provide clients with critical pre-departure information.
  • Proactively follow up on unconverted leads and quotes, employing strategic sales tactics to re-engage potential customers and close the sale.
  • Collaborate with air, hotel, and tour suppliers to secure availability, negotiate rates, and resolve any potential booking issues on behalf of the client.
  • Handle complex travel arrangements for groups, families, and VIP clients, paying meticulous attention to every detail of the itinerary.
  • Provide exceptional problem-solving support for clients before, during, and after their travels, addressing any changes, cancellations, or unforeseen issues that may arise.
  • Utilize the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to meticulously track all client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and product workshops to continuously enhance selling skills and stay current with industry trends.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm, effectively communicating the unique value proposition of our travel services.
  • Research new and emerging travel destinations and experiences to contribute fresh ideas for product development and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage time effectively to balance lead generation, client consultation, administrative tasks, and follow-up activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Create and maintain a personal business plan to outline strategies for achieving and surpassing personal sales goals and contributing to team objectives.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • GDS Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with at least one Global Distribution System (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo for booking flights and other travel components.
  • CRM Software: Competency in using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) for lead management, pipeline tracking, and client communication.
  • Booking Engine Expertise: Familiarity with various online travel booking engines, supplier portals, and reservation systems.
  • Destination Knowledge: Extensive geographical knowledge, including popular tourist destinations, cultural nuances, and logistical considerations.
  • Sales Quoting: Ability to create accurate, detailed, and visually appealing travel quotes and itineraries using software like Microsoft Office Suite or specialized platforms.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
