- Prepare and deliver quotes and bind memoranda for underwriter review, including accurate premium calculations, fees, commissions, and applicable surcharges, using rating engines and carrier quoting tools.
- Process policy issuance end-to-end: generate policy documents, endorsements, declarations, ID cards, and endorsements; deliver documents to agents and clients via email, carrier portals, or print as required.
- Execute endorsements and mid-term changes per underwriter direction, updating policy metadata, billing codes, and premiums; document reason for change in system notes and maintain clear audit trails.
- Support underwriting decision-making by pulling and summarizing loss history, claims activity, inspections, and other risk indicators; prepare concise risk briefs and file memos for underwriter consideration.
- Manage policy renewals workflow: verify continuity of coverage, update exposures, obtain updated loss information, confirm updated premiums, and prepare renewal terms for underwriting approval in a timely manner.
- Reconcile billing and premium discrepancies between policy records, carrier statements, and agency billing systems; coordinate adjustments and ensure accurate commission posting.
- Review and process cancellation and non-renewal requests, including regulatory notices and carrier directives; ensure compliance with timing and state-specific cancellation rules and produce required customer communications.

- Assist underwriters with mid-sized portfolio reviews, audit preparations, and special projects such as rate reviews, product rollout support, or policy language updates.
- Document complex underwriting rulings, file notes, and case-specific guidelines in the policy file so subsequent team members and auditors can follow the decision history.
- Monitor carrier portal submissions and EDI exchanges for status updates, rejections, and policy downloads; troubleshoot exceptions and coordinate resubmissions as necessary.
- Support enterprise initiatives around process automation (e.g., forms automation, e-signature rollout) by validating outputs, reporting defects, and recommending improvements based on day-to-day processing experience.
- Participate in periodic file audits and regulatory compliance checks, respond to audit inquiries, and remediate documentation gaps identified by carriers or internal compliance teams.
- Train and mentor new underwriting processors and cross-functional staff on systems, workflows, and best practices to raise team competency and reduce onboarding time.

- Assist in special projects such as new product implementations, state filings coordination, and carrier contract transitions to maintain continuity during change.
- Escalate complex or high-exposure risks to underwriting management and participate in cross-functional risk review meetings when requested.
