  • Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with uniform suppliers, laundry services, and alteration specialists. Act as the main point of contact to address performance issues, ensure contract compliance, and explore innovations in fabric and design.
  • Budgetary Oversight and Financial Control: Develop, propose, and manage the annual uniform department budget, meticulously tracking all expenditures, processing invoices, and generating variance reports to ensure operations stay within financial constraints.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Oversee the efficient distribution of uniforms to new and existing employees, managing the processes for initial fittings, exchanges, and returns to ensure a seamless and positive employee experience.
  • Quality Assurance and Brand Compliance: Establish and enforce stringent quality control standards for all incoming apparel, ensuring that every item meets specifications for color, fabric, fit, and construction, thereby protecting the integrity of the brand.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and provide daily supervision to the uniform room staff, setting clear performance expectations, managing schedules, and fostering a service-oriented culture focused on efficiency and professionalism.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Design, implement, and consistently enforce comprehensive uniform policies and procedures, including grooming standards, proper care instructions, and the process for replacing lost or damaged items.
  • Employee Fittings and Alterations: Coordinate and oversee the employee fitting process to ensure proper sizing and a professional appearance, managing relationships with on-site or third-party tailors to handle necessary alterations in a timely manner.

  • Project Management for Uniform Transitions: Plan and execute large-scale uniform rollouts or redesign projects, coordinating all logistics from design approval and wear-testing to full implementation across the organization.
  • Problem Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving any employee issues or concerns related to uniforms, from fit and comfort to quality and availability, with tact and a focus on solutions.
