Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Lead the end-to-end design of urban precincts, master plans and public realm projects, producing compelling concept designs, schematic designs and detailed design packages that align with planning controls and delivery constraints.
Develop evidence-based site analysis and feasibility studies including land-use capacity, urban block structure, view corridors, sun and wind studies, and infrastructure implications to inform design direction and client decision-making.

Secondary Functions

Conduct research on demographic trends, market forces, socio-economic profiles and urban policy to support strategic design decisions and client briefs.
Prepare tender documentation, scope of services and evaluation criteria for appointing consultants and contractors during delivery phases.
Contribute to marketing and business development activities: prepare proposals, write capabilities statements, and present case studies to prospective clients.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related discipline.

Preferred Education:

Master's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture or a specialised postgraduate qualification in sustainable urbanism, placemaking or transport planning.
Professional accreditation or registration (where applicable) such as RIBA, AIA, ILI, or equivalent is advantageous.
