Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Define and execute a product-wide content strategy that aligns with user needs and business objectives, including voice & tone, content types, content hierarchy, and measurement plans to drive consistent experiences across web, mobile, and in-product surfaces.
  • Lead end-to-end content design for complex user flows—conduct content audits, map customer journeys, write and iterate microcopy, error messaging, onboarding flows, and long-form help content to improve task completion and reduce friction.
  • Translate user research and analytics into prioritized content recommendations and experiments that increase clarity, retention, conversion, and customer satisfaction across high-impact product areas.
  • Create and maintain a scalable content model and taxonomy aligned to information architecture and product data models; document content relationships, metadata requirements, and lifecycle rules for use by designers and engineers.
  • Build and manage voice-and-tone guidelines and a content style guide that are practical for product teams, marketing, and localization partners; ensure consistent application across channels.
  • Partner with UX Designers and Product Managers in early discovery to define content hypothesis, acceptance criteria, and success metrics; embed content work into agile sprints and design cycles.
  • Lead content governance: define roles, workflows, review cycles, and publishing standards; steward cross-functional content review boards and approve final content for major releases.
  • Design localization-ready content and partner with translation/localization teams to ensure cultural and legal appropriateness and maintain consistency across languages and regions.
  • Develop and run qualitative and quantitative content experiments (A/B tests, readability testing, click/heatmap analysis) and use results to inform content decisions and prioritize backlog items.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive language standards in content creation; ensure content meets WCAG principles and supports assistive technologies.
  • Create and maintain content templates, pattern libraries, and reusable components (e.g., microcopy patterns, modal copy conventions) to speed delivery and reduce inconsistency across designers and engineers.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to align leadership, product teams, and customer-support on content strategy, trade-offs, and implementation plans.
  • Produce and present content roadmaps, quarterly priorities, and post-launch impact reports that demonstrate how content initiatives improve KPIs (NPS, task success, conversion, support deflection).
  • Mentor and coach writers, content designers, and cross-functional partners in content best practices, critique cycles, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
