Primary Functions

  • Execute the complete assembly of vehicles or major sub-assemblies (like chassis, powertrain, or interiors) according to detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and digital work instructions.
  • Install, fit, and adjust a wide range of mechanical components, including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, axles, and braking systems.
  • Perform intricate electrical system assembly, which involves routing wire harnesses, connecting sensors, installing control modules, and testing for continuity and function.
  • Mount and align body panels, doors, hoods, and bumpers, ensuring precise gap and flushness specifications are met for a perfect finish.
  • Utilize a variety of hand, pneumatic, electric, and calibrated torque tools with precision to fasten components, ensuring all torque specifications are strictly followed.
  • Install and integrate interior components such as dashboards, seats, carpeting, headliners, and trim pieces with care to avoid cosmetic damage.
  • Perform fluid fills for systems including engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and refrigerant, and subsequently check for any leaks or system malfunctions.
  • Conduct in-process functional checks and quality inspections to identify and resolve any assembly errors, misalignments, or defective parts immediately.
  • Collaborate directly with manufacturing engineers and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex build issues, providing critical feedback for process refinement.
  • Operate and monitor automated assembly equipment and robotic systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Interpret and apply information from vehicle build sheets or manufacturing execution systems (MES) to ensure the correct parts and configurations are used for each specific vehicle.
  • Perform wheel and tire installation and conduct preliminary wheel alignment checks as part of the final assembly process.
  • Install glass components, including windshields and windows, using appropriate primers, adhesives, and sealing techniques.
  • Apply decals, badges, and other exterior branding elements with high precision according to brand standards.
  • Document all assembly and quality check activities accurately, maintaining a clear record of the build process for traceability and quality assurance.
  • Adhere rigorously to all workplace safety (OSHA) and environmental protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate actively in problem-solving activities and root cause analysis when recurring build or quality issues are identified.
  • Calibrate and test vehicle systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), infotainment, and climate control, to ensure full functionality.
  • Prepare vehicles for final inspection and dynamic testing by ensuring all systems are "go" and the vehicle is in a show-ready condition.
  • Manage and maintain the organization and cleanliness of your personal workstation and contribute to the overall 5S standards of the production floor.

  • Assist in the cross-training of new team members, sharing knowledge of best practices, safety procedures, and quality standards.
