Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive and systematic multi-point inspections on new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure they adhere to strict manufacturer and company quality benchmarks.
- Perform meticulous cosmetic inspections of vehicle exteriors and interiors, expertly identifying and documenting any defects such as scratches, dents, paint imperfections, or upholstery damage.

- Verify that all standard and optional equipment, accessories, and features are present, correctly installed, and fully operational as per the vehicle's specific build sheet or sales order.
- Perform comprehensive road tests under a variety of driving conditions (city, highway, rough surfaces) to rigorously evaluate vehicle performance, handling, braking, and identify any unusual noises, vibrations, or harshness (NVH).
- Create highly detailed and accurate quality control reports for each inspected vehicle, meticulously documenting all findings, Pass/Fail status, and required repairs, often supplemented with clear photographs.
- Collaborate proactively with service technicians, reconditioning teams, and body shop staff to clearly communicate required repairs or cosmetic adjustments, ensuring all identified issues are resolved to standard.
- Manage and prioritize the daily workflow of vehicles through the quality control process to meet demanding delivery schedules and sales targets without ever compromising inspection integrity.
- Maintain an up-to-date, expert-level knowledge base of manufacturer-specific quality standards, technical service bulletins (TSBs), and active recall campaigns for a diverse range of vehicle makes and models.
- Ensure all mandatory Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checklists are completed with 100% accuracy and are properly signed off, confirming the vehicle is fully prepared and safe for customer handover.
- Assess and confirm the quality of repairs and reconditioning work performed by internal teams or external vendors, ensuring the final product meets our non-negotiable "retail-ready" standards.
- Act as the final authority on a vehicle's retail-readiness, making the critical decision to release a vehicle for sale or to hold it back for further necessary reconditioning or repairs.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and recurring issues, providing actionable feedback to procurement and service management to help improve incoming inventory quality and repair processes.
- Ensure every vehicle is in full compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations before it is offered for sale.
- Champion a "quality-first" culture within the operations team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior inspectors or technicians on best practices for vehicle assessment and quality standards.
- Conduct final "show-ready" checks, confirming each vehicle is impeccably clean, properly staged on the lot or in the showroom, and presents flawlessly to prospective customers.
- Evaluate the condition of all tires, including tread depth, wear patterns, and proper inflation, and check the wheel alignment to guarantee vehicle safety and optimal performance.
- Test all safety-related systems with extreme rigor, including airbags, seatbelts, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and ADAS features to guarantee they are fully operational.
- Verify the presence and correctness of all vehicle documentation, including owner's manuals, warranty information, service records, and window stickers (Monroney labels).
Secondary Functions
