Primary Functions

  • Proactively engage with prospective customers, both in-person at the dealership and through digital channels, to create a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments by employing active listening and strategic questioning techniques to accurately identify a customer's lifestyle requirements, driving habits, and budget constraints.
  • Develop and maintain an expert-level understanding of the entire vehicle lineup, including models, trims, features, specifications, and available packages for both new and used inventory.

  • Facilitate and accompany customers on engaging and informative test drives, showcasing the vehicle's performance, handling, and unique capabilities in a real-world setting.
  • Guide customers through the complexities of vehicle pricing, manufacturer incentives, trade-in valuations, and financing/leasing options with complete transparency and integrity.
  • Skillfully negotiate purchase terms and pricing to arrive at a mutually agreeable outcome that ensures customer satisfaction while upholding dealership gross profit objectives.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to transition customers smoothly through the financing, credit approval, and final paperwork stages.
  • Meticulously manage and maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system, logging all interactions, follow-ups, and sales activities to ensure a consistent and documented customer journey.
  • Implement a structured, long-term follow-up process for all potential buyers, including those who did not purchase, to nurture leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Achieve and consistently strive to exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas, volume targets, and performance benchmarks set by sales management.
  • Coordinate the final preparation and delivery of sold vehicles, performing a final quality inspection and providing a comprehensive feature overview to the new owner to ensure they are comfortable with their purchase.
  • Cultivate and manage a pipeline of leads through a combination of dealership floor traffic, online inquiries, personal networking, and generating customer referrals.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, acting as a dedicated advocate to ensure a positive resolution and maintain high customer satisfaction scores (CSI).
  • Stay current with evolving industry trends, competitor offerings, local market conditions, and manufacturer promotions to maintain a strong competitive edge.
  • Actively participate in all sales meetings, ongoing training sessions, and manufacturer-led product certification programs to continuously enhance skills and expertise.
  • Assist customers in the process of appraising their trade-in vehicle by gathering accurate information and working with the used car management team to establish a fair market value.

  • Ensure the sales lot and showroom vehicles are impeccably presented, clean, and properly merchandised to create an attractive and professional shopping environment.

Secondary Functions
