Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Execute comprehensive interior and exterior cleaning and detailing of vehicles to meet stringent company presentation and hygiene standards, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
Safely and efficiently refuel a diverse fleet of vehicles according to specified fuel types and required levels, meticulously tracking fuel consumption and reporting any discrepancies.
Conduct rigorous multi-point vehicle inspections before and after service, checking for damages, missing items, and any mechanical issues, and accurately documenting findings.
Routinely check and replenish all essential vehicle fluids, including engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid, to ensure vehicles are operationally sound.
Verify and adjust tire pressure on all vehicles to manufacturer specifications, performing visual inspections for tread wear and damage to ensure vehicle safety.
Proactively identify and formally report any new or existing vehicle damage, malfunctions, or maintenance needs to the Service Manager or Fleet Coordinator for resolution.
Skillfully maneuver, park, and organize vehicles within the service lot or garage to optimize space, workflow, and ensure vehicle accessibility and security.
Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks as directed, such as replacing windshield wiper blades, light bulbs, or vehicle batteries, to reduce vehicle downtime.
Maintain precise and timely service records for each vehicle, documenting all cleaning, fueling, and inspection activities in a digital fleet management system or manual log.
Shuttle vehicles safely and efficiently between various locations, including service bays, parking areas, off-site storage, and third-party repair shops.
Monitor, manage, and restock inventory levels of cleaning agents, detailing supplies, and service materials to prevent work stoppages.
Strictly adhere to all established company safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and hazardous material handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Meticulously prepare vehicles for customer pick-up or operational deployment, ensuring all specific requirements and quality checks have been completed.
Operate and perform routine maintenance on automated car wash systems, pressure washers, vacuums, and other specialized cleaning equipment.
Respond with urgency to immediate vehicle readiness requests from dispatch or management to support dynamic operational demands.
Investigate and diagnose the cause of dashboard warning lights or basic electronic alerts using foundational automotive knowledge.
Collaborate with and provide support to automotive technicians and mechanics by assisting with basic tasks and vehicle preparation for more complex repairs.
Uphold the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the immediate work area, including service bays, wash stations, and supply storage areas.
Carefully inspect vehicles for customer-left personal belongings, logging and turning in any found items according to the company's lost-and-found policy.
Update vehicle status (e.g., 'Ready for Rent,' 'On Hold for Maintenance') in the fleet management system to provide real-time visibility for all departments.
Confirm vehicle identification numbers (VINs), license plates, and registration details match company records to ensure asset accuracy and compliance.

Secondary Functions

Assist with periodic vehicle inventory counts and lot audits to ensure fleet asset accuracy.
Participate actively in team meetings, safety training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Provide occasional shuttle transportation for customers or employees as operational needs dictate.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

Possession of a valid, current driver's license and a clean driving record, demonstrating a history of safe and responsible driving.
