Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Provide gentle, compassionate, and safe restraint for animals during examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
Assist veterinarians and technicians in surgical preparation by sterilizing instruments, setting up surgical suites, and prepping patients for procedures.
Skillfully collect, prepare, and label laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue, for in-house or external analysis.
Accurately administer medications, vaccines, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed and directly supervised by a veterinarian.
Diligently monitor the condition and comfort of hospitalized or post-operative patients, promptly reporting any changes in status to the clinical team.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital, including exam rooms, surgical areas, treatment zones, and kennels, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Efficiently take and record patient histories and vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration, noting all observations in the patient's record.
Provide fundamental animal husbandry care, which includes feeding, providing fresh water, walking, and ensuring the comfort of all patients in the clinic.
Assist with diagnostic imaging procedures by correctly positioning patients for X-rays and supporting the team during ultrasounds while adhering to all safety protocols.
Educate clients on fundamental aspects of pet health, including nutrition, parasite prevention, post-operative care instructions, and medication administration.
