Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, manage, and meticulously maintain a comprehensive video content calendar, ensuring alignment with broader marketing campaigns, product launches, and key seasonal events.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the in-house creative team, freelance videographers, editors, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Coordinate all pre-production logistics, including scheduling discovery calls, creative kick-offs, script reviews, and storyboard sessions.
  • Manage the logistics for video shoots, which includes booking locations, securing permits, arranging for equipment, and coordinating schedules for on-screen talent and production crews.
  • Oversee the entire post-production workflow, managing timelines for editing, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and ensuring all notes are implemented correctly and efficiently.
  • Handle the end-to-end publishing process for all video content across multiple platforms (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and our company website).
  • Write, edit, and optimize all supporting copy for video, including compelling titles, detailed descriptions, and relevant tags/hashtags to maximize search visibility and audience engagement.
  • Implement platform-specific best practices for video distribution, including creating custom thumbnails, adding subtitles/captions, and utilizing features like end screens and cards on YouTube.
  • Manage a digital asset management (DAM) system, responsible for organizing, archiving, and maintaining a library of all raw footage, final edits, and related project files for easy retrieval.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key video performance metrics (e.g., view count, watch time, audience retention, engagement rate, click-through rate) using native platform analytics and third-party tools.
  • Compile regular performance reports for leadership, translating raw data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for future content.
  • Conduct A/B tests on video elements like thumbnails, titles, and calls-to-action to continuously improve performance and engagement.
  • Ensure all video content strictly adheres to brand guidelines, style guides, and legal compliance requirements, including music licensing and talent releases.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to plan and execute effective video promotion strategies, ensuring content is tailored for each specific channel.
  • Manage the intake process for all new video requests from across the organization, clarifying project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the marketing and sales teams with ad-hoc requests for video clips, b-roll footage, and specific content assets for presentations, ads, and campaigns.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our video style guide and brand voice, providing feedback and suggestions to ensure consistency and relevance across all visual content.
  • Act as a brand champion by staying current on emerging video trends, new platform features, and competitor activities to help inform and innovate our content strategy.
  • Assist in managing the video content budget by tracking project expenses, processing invoices from freelancers and vendors, and contributing to financial reporting.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Project Management Software: High proficiency in tools like Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or Jira for tracking tasks, timelines, and team collaboration.
  • Video Editing Software (Basic Knowledge): Familiarity with the workflow and capabilities of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is highly beneficial for managing edits.
  • Digital Asset Management (DAM): Experience using DAM or cloud storage systems (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io) for organizing large media files.
