Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Spearhead the end-to-end video production process, from initial concept development and storyboarding through to filming, editing, and final delivery for various digital platforms.
  • Plan, shoot, and edit a high volume of engaging video content, including product demos, customer testimonials, social media shorts (Reels, TikToks), educational tutorials, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and maintain a comprehensive video content calendar that aligns with broader campaign goals, product launches, and brand initiatives.
  • Manage all aspects of video pre-production, including scriptwriting, location scouting, scheduling shoots, and coordinating with on-camera talent and stakeholders.
  • Adapt and re-format long-form video content into compelling, bite-sized clips optimized for specific social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Manage the company's YouTube channel, including content scheduling, video optimization (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails), and community engagement to foster channel growth.
  • Analyze video performance metrics across all platforms, delivering regular reports on key indicators such as view-through rate, engagement, click-through rate, and conversion.
  • Utilize performance data and audience insights to inform future video strategies, testing new formats, styles, and messaging to continuously improve results.
  • Ensure all video content consistently adheres to brand guidelines, maintaining a high standard of quality in visual aesthetics, tone of voice, and overall messaging.
  • Manage and maintain all video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear, ensuring it is in good working order for all production needs.
  • Develop and implement video SEO strategies to increase the organic visibility and search ranking of our video content on YouTube and other search engines.
  • Create visually appealing and effective motion graphics, title cards, and other animated elements to enhance video content and capture viewer attention.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging video marketing trends, platform algorithm changes, and new creative tools to keep our content strategy innovative and effective.
  • Work closely with the social media manager to plan and execute video-centric social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Conduct interviews with internal subject matter experts and external clients to create authentic and impactful testimonial and thought-leadership videos.
  • Manage the digital asset library for all video files, ensuring projects are logically organized, archived, and easily accessible for repurposing.
  • Collaborate with the paid media team to provide video assets specifically designed for advertising campaigns on platforms like Meta, Google, and LinkedIn.
  • Oversee the post-production process, including color correction, audio mixing, and gathering feedback from stakeholders to deliver polished final cuts.
  • Transcribe and add closed captions to all video content to ensure accessibility and compliance standards are met.
  • Assist in planning and executing live video events, such as webinars, virtual Q&As, and live streams, managing the technical and content aspects.

  • Support the broader marketing team with graphic design and content creation for various campaigns as needed.
  • Assist in managing and organizing our central digital asset management (DAM) platform to ensure all creative is easily accessible.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for wider marketing campaigns, providing a video-first perspective.
  • Stay abreast of emerging video trends, new platform features, and competitor strategies to provide actionable insights to the team.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Video Editing Software: High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with strong skills in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve also being highly valued.
  • Motion Graphics: Competency in Adobe After Effects for creating animated text, lower thirds, and simple motion graphics.
  • Camera Operation: Hands-on experience operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras, including a solid understanding of manual settings (aperture, shutter speed, ISO).
  • Audio & Lighting: Knowledge of fundamental lighting techniques (e.g., three-point lighting) and experience with audio recording equipment (lavalier, shotgun mics) for clean sound.
  • Social Media Platforms: Deep understanding of video specifications and best practices for YouTube, Instagram (Reels, Stories), TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Graphic Design Tools: Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Canva for creating compelling video thumbnails and supporting graphics.
  • Video Analytics: Ability to interpret data from YouTube Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other platform-native analytics tools to derive actionable insights.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range: 2-4 years

Preferred:

Demonstrable experience managing a brand's YouTube channel or social video presence is a significant plus.
