Primary Functions

  • Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive video content strategy that aligns with overarching marketing campaigns, brand identity, and business objectives.
  • Provide creative leadership and clear direction throughout the entire production process, ensuring all content maintains a high standard of quality, visual appeal, and storytelling excellence.
  • Oversee the end-to-end video production lifecycle, including conceptualization, scriptwriting, storyboarding, production, post-production, and final asset delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the in-house video production team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while overseeing their professional growth and performance.
  • Develop and manage the annual video production budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget through meticulous financial tracking and resource allocation.
  • Act as the principal director for high-stakes or creatively complex video shoots, guiding on-screen talent and production crew to achieve the desired creative vision.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders in marketing, communications, sales, and product to identify video needs and translate business requirements into actionable production plans.
  • Establish and enforce brand guidelines for video to ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all video outputs.
  • Supervise all post-production activities, including video editing, motion graphics, color grading, and sound design, providing constructive feedback and final approval on all cuts.
  • Source, negotiate contracts with, and manage relationships with external resources, including freelancers, production agencies, talent, and other vendors to augment in-house capabilities.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging video technologies, and new content platforms, consistently bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the organization.
  • Define and implement streamlined production workflows and standard operating procedures to enhance team efficiency, scalability, and output quality.
  • Oversee the management, maintenance, and strategic acquisition of all studio and field production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio hardware.
  • Ensure all video productions adhere to legal and compliance standards, including copyright law, music licensing, talent releases, and usage rights.
  • Analyze video performance metrics and audience engagement data to derive actionable insights, reporting on content effectiveness and informing future strategy.
  • Lead and facilitate creative brainstorming and ideation sessions to generate a continuous pipeline of compelling video concepts that resonate with target audiences.
  • Serve as the central point of communication for all video-related initiatives, effectively managing stakeholder expectations and providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Direct casting, location scouting, and other critical pre-production logistics to set every project up for success.
  • Review and approve scripts, storyboards, and shot lists to ensure they are creatively sound and logistically feasible before production begins.
  • Champion a "story-first" culture within the team and the broader marketing organization, emphasizing narrative and emotional connection in all content.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of professional cinema cameras, lighting techniques, and audio recording equipment.
  • Strong technical understanding of video codecs, aspect ratios, file formats, and best practices for delivery across web, social media, and broadcast.
  • Proven ability in budget creation, financial forecasting, and resource management for complex productions.
  • Competency with project management and collaboration software such as Asana, Monday.com, or Frame.io.
