Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Assist the production team in all phases of video creation, including pre-production, on-set production, and post-production.
- Operate DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio recording equipment, and lighting setups for in-studio and on-location shoots.
- Edit raw footage into compelling, high-quality final videos for various platforms including social media, websites, and internal communications.
- Organize, log, and manage a large volume of digital media assets, including video footage, graphics, and audio files.
- Collaborate in creative brainstorming sessions to develop innovative video concepts and storyboards that align with marketing objectives.
- Create engaging motion graphics, text overlays, and lower thirds to enhance video projects using software like Adobe After Effects.
- Perform color correction and audio mixing to ensure a polished and professional look and feel for all video content.
- Prepare and export video files in various formats and aspect ratios, optimized for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and ongoing maintenance of all video and audio production equipment.
- Transcribe interviews and other long-form content to facilitate the post-production editing process.
- Support lead videographers on larger shoots, serving as a production assistant, camera operator, or grip as needed.
- Research and stay current with emerging video trends, social media platform updates, and new production techniques to keep our content fresh and relevant.
- Assist in filming diverse content types, including interviews, product demonstrations, B-roll, tutorials, and event coverage.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and that all video content supports broader campaign goals.
- Contribute to the development of shot lists and production schedules to ensure efficient and organized filming days.
Secondary Functions
- Source and license appropriate royalty-free music, stock footage, and sound effects for use in video projects.
- Assist in creating and managing a video content calendar to plan for timely content releases and campaigns.
- Capture behind-the-scenes photos and videos during shoots for use in promotional social media content.
- Participate in the review and feedback process, incorporating notes from stakeholders to refine video edits.
