Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Manage the entire video production process from pre-production (storyboarding, shot listing, scheduling) to production (filming) and post-production (editing, color grading, sound mixing).
  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality, engaging video content for a variety of platforms including social media (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), websites, email marketing, and internal communications.
  • Operate professional-grade video, lighting, and audio equipment, including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, cinema cameras, drones, gimbals, microphones, and lighting setups.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop compelling video concepts and storyboards that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Edit raw footage into polished, narrative-driven final products, incorporating graphics, animations, music, and sound effects to enhance the story.
  • Perform advanced color correction and color grading to ensure a consistent, high-quality visual aesthetic across all video projects.
  • Design and create custom motion graphics, title cards, lower thirds, and other animated assets using software like Adobe After Effects.
  • Record and mix high-quality audio, including dialogue, voiceovers, and soundscapes, ensuring clarity and emotional impact using tools like Adobe Audition.
  • Manage and maintain all video equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and recommending new purchases as needed to stay current with industry standards.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital asset library for all raw footage, project files, and final exports for easy retrieval and future use.
  • Stay abreast of the latest video production techniques, social media trends, and industry software to continuously innovate and improve our video content quality.
  • Adapt and reformat video content for various distribution channels, optimizing aspect ratios, lengths, and file formats for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and our website.
  • Set up and break down lighting and set designs for both in-studio and on-location shoots, demonstrating a strong understanding of cinematic lighting principles.
  • Conduct and film compelling interviews with internal stakeholders, clients, and subject matter experts, making them feel comfortable and natural on camera.
  • Capture dynamic B-roll footage that complements the primary narrative and adds visual interest and context to the final video.
  • Work within project timelines and budgets, efficiently managing resources to deliver projects on schedule and to the highest standard.
  • Review and implement feedback from stakeholders throughout the post-production process, demonstrating a collaborative and flexible approach.
  • Ensure all video content adheres to brand standards, including tone of voice, style, and legal compliance (e.g., music licensing, talent releases).
  • Develop and execute a content calendar for video projects in collaboration with the social media and content marketing teams.
  • Analyze video performance metrics (e.g., watch time, engagement rate, click-through rate) to inform future content strategy and creative decisions.
  • Provide creative input and technical guidance during brainstorming sessions to help shape the direction of future campaigns and projects.
  • Handle all aspects of live-stream productions, including multi-camera switching, graphics integration, and stream health monitoring.

Secondary Functions

  • Photographing company events, headshots, and product imagery as needed.
  • Assisting the marketing team with basic graphic design tasks for social media or presentations.
  • Mentoring junior creative team members or interns on video production best practices.
  • Sourcing and managing freelance production support, such as additional camera operators or production assistants, for larger shoots.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder.
  • Strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for advanced color grading and editing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating a range of professional camera systems (e.g., Sony FX series, Canon C-series, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras).
  • Advanced understanding of cinematic lighting techniques, including 3-point lighting, and the ability to shape light to create mood and atmosphere.
  • Proficiency in capturing and mixing high-quality audio using various microphones (lavalier, shotgun, condenser) and audio interfaces.
  • Skilled in motion graphics design and animation to create compelling visual elements.
  • Thorough knowledge of video codecs, compression techniques, and best practices for exporting video for web, social, and broadcast.
  • Experience with camera stabilization equipment such as gimbals (e.g., DJI Ronin) and sliders.
  • Knowledge of live-streaming software (e.g., OBS, vMix) and hardware is a significant plus.
  • Digital asset management (DAM) principles and experience with DAM platforms.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com to track project progress.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
